The Nuclear Regulatory Commission proposed a new regulation to be located at 10 CFR part 57 to create a risk-informed, performance-based framework for rapid licensing and high-volume deployment of microreactors and other reactors with comparable risk profiles. Comments are due by June 15, 2026.
